Opening/Closing Policy As a general rule, both the Upper School and Children's House follow the Fairfax County School's schedule. Some discrepancies may occur so make sure to look at the MSHR school calendar. Check your parent handbook for further details. Inclement Weather Policy If Fairfax County Public Schools are closed, both MSHR sites will be closed. If Fairfax County Public Schools open two hours late, both MSHR sites will open one hour late: CH day care at 8:30am, CH school at 9:45am; US Club at 8:30am, school at 10am. These decisions are made by the County around 5:30am. Please listen to the radio or TV before leaving for school. If Fairfax County Public Schools close early, both MSHR sites will close early, including day care. If afterschool activities are cancelled, parents are asked to pick up their children as soon as possible. Students riding the bus will be picked up as soon as possible. Our Transportation Director will assess the road condition and make the decision of pick-up accordingly. Once a decision has been made, parents will be notified.
