Choosing Montessori for Your Child
The three-year age span in the classroom setting provides a family-like grouping where learning can take place naturally. More experienced children share what they have learned while reinforcing their own learning. Because this peer group learning is intrinsic to Montessori education, we ask that children complete the three-year cycle at the primary level and the six-year cycle at the elementary level. Children may enter the program at any time during the year. The work is individualized, so the child does not miss anything by starting at a later time in the academic year.

 The Early Childhood Experience
At the early childhood level, our program is designed to help young children understand concepts through the use of concrete materials. Children
 Elementary Education
At the elementary level, our Montessori program continues to provide lessons that begin at a sensorial level and move sequentially to the abstract. The students explore concepts and discover for themself the underlying rules that govern our world. This exploration can lead students further into subjects, and gives them a strong foundation for later lessons. Often, students graduating from a Montessori program are advanced in a number of subjects, when compared to their peers.
Montessori students are curious and intelligent learners, who seek to understand their world on multiple levels. This drive to learn encourages the independent natures of the students, helping them to learn the importance of their own efforts in mastering subjects. The students also develop a strong sense of responsibility for themselves, learning to manage their time well, and building study skills that can be used throughout their learning career.
